Product Description

Albendazole 2.5% Oral Suspension
 

Content: 2.5% (25mg of albendazole per 1mL)

Indications

This product is a broad-spectrum antiparasitic drug mainly used for the treatment and prevention of gastrointestinal and some tissue nematode and tapeworm infections in livestock and poultry, including:

Pigs: roundworms, esophageal nematodes, flagellates (whipworms), roundworms, etc.

Cattle and sheep: Gastrointestinal nematodes (such as blood lance nematodes, Oster nematodes), lung nematodes, tapeworms, etc.

Poultry: chicken roundworms, fine thread worms, etc.

Usage

Oral administration, can be directly administered by gavage or mixed with a small amount of feed for feeding.

Shake well before use to ensure even distribution of the suspension.

Dosage
 

Pigs and sheep	Take 1mL of albendazole (2.5mg/kg body weight) orally every 10kg body weight, and administer it once.
Cattle	Take 0.5-1mL (1.25-2.5mg/kg body weight) orally every 10kg body weight, and administer it once.
Poultry	Add 1-2mL of this product to every 1L of drinking water and use continuously for 2-3 days (follow medical advice for specific instructions).

Adverse reactions

According to the recommended dosage, there are generally no adverse reactions. Excessive use may cause decreased appetite, vomiting, and diarrhea.

Rare allergic reactions (such as rash, difficulty breathing) should be immediately discontinued and treated accordingly.

Special Warning

Prohibited for animals in early pregnancy (especially sheep in the first 45 days of pregnancy and cows in the first 30 days of pregnancy), may cause fetal malformations.

Not applicable to equine animals (such as horses and donkeys), may cause toxic reactions.

Avoid simultaneous use with other lipophilic drugs (such as praziquantel) to increase toxicity.

If serious adverse reactions occur after use, seek medical attention promptly.

Rest period for medication

Pigs and sheep: Stop medication 14 days before slaughter;

Cattle: Stop medication 28 days before slaughter;

Poultry: Stop medication 7 days before slaughter;

Prohibited during the milk production period (72 hours for milk and 60 hours for goat milk).
