Product Description

Generic name:Florfenicol Injection 30%

Description: This product is a colorless to slightly yellow clear liquid.

Pharmacological Actions:Pharmacodynamics:

Florfenicol is a broad-spectrum antibiotic of amide alcohols and is a bacteriostatic agent. It acts by binding to the 50S subunit of the ribosome to inhibit the synthesis of bacterial protein. It has strong antibacterial activity against a variety of Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-negative bacteria. Pasteurella hemolyticus, Pasteurella multocida and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae are highly sensitive to florfenicol. The antibacterial activity of florfenicol against many microorganisms in vitro is similar to or stronger than that of thiamphenicol. Some bacteria resistant to amide alcohols due to acetylation, such as Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae, may still be resistant to fluorobenzene Nico is sensitive.

It is mainly used for the bacterial diseases of pigs, chickens and fish caused by sensitive bacteria, such as the respiratory diseases of cattle and pigs caused by Pasteurella hemolyticus, Pasteurella multocida and Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae. Salmonella caused by typhoid fever and paratyphoid fever, chicken cholera, chicken pullorum, colibacillosis, etc.; fish bacterial sepsis caused by fish pasteurella, vibrio, Staphylococcus aureus, hydrophila, enteritis, etc. Enteritis, red skin disease, etc.

Pharmacokinetics:  The oral administration of florfenicol is quickly absorbed, and the therapeutic concentration can be reached in the blood after about 1 hour, and the peak blood concentration can be reached within 1 to 3 hours. The bioavailability is over 80%. Florfenicol is widely distributed in animals and can penetrate the blood-brain barrier. It is mainly excreted in urine in its original form, and a small amount is excreted in feces.

Drug Interaction:

(1) Macrolides and Lincosamides have the same target of action as this product, both of which are combined with the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome, which can produce mutual antagonism when used in combination.
(2) It may antagonize the bactericidal activity of penicillins or aminoglycoside drugs, but it has not been proven in animals.

Function and UseAmido alcohol antibiotics. Used for bacterial diseases caused by Pasteurella and Escherichia coli.
Dosage and Administration:

For subcutaneous or intramuscular injection.
Cattle:
Treatment (IM) : 1 ml per 15 kg body weight, twice at a 48-h interval.
Treatment (SC) : 2 ml per 15 kg body weight, administered once.
Prevention (SC) : 2 ml per 15 kg body weight, administered once.

The injection should only be given in the neck. The dose should not exceed 10 ml per injection site.
Swine : 1 ml per 20 kg body weight (IM), twice at a 48-hour interval.
The injection should only be given in the neck. The dose should not exceed 3 ml per injection site.
It is recommended to treat animals in the early stages of disease and to evaluate the response to treatment within 48 hours after the second injection. If clinical signs of respiratory disease persist 48 hours after the last injection, treatment should be changed using another formulation or another antibiotic and continued until clinical signs have resolved. Note: Introflor-300 is not for use in cattle producing milk for human consumption.

Adverse Reactions:
